Our Story

Our journey began at Thompsons Solicitors, where we quickly discovered a shared love for Marvel movies and food. It didn't take long for us to bond over our mutual interests and an immediate spark ignited between us, although it took a while to make it 'official'.

 

Despite our differing memories of our first date and when Gavin officially asked me to be his girlfriend, our relationship blossomed from a strong friendship. As solicitors, we're no stranger to debate but it's our differences that make us work.

What started as two young aspiring solicitors has turned into the most incredible adventure. Along the way we both qualified, welcomed our golden retriever Doug into our lives in 2022 and then our beautiful daughter Millie in 2024. Neither of us knew what was coming, but every twist and turn has been the best experience of our lives. We’ve shared some truly magical Christmases together already — the kind that make you feel like you’re building a little world of your own — and we can’t wait for all the festive seasons still to come.

 

The Proposal

On our first night away together after Millie was born we stayed at Hoar Cross Hall. It was a sweltering day and after enjoying a beautiful three-course meal, Gavin actually got down on one knee in the gardens and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him.

 

Through all the arguments and laughter, we've built a life together filled with love, adventure, and countless cherished moments. Our story is one of two hearts finding their perfect match, and we are so grateful to have you celebrate this special chapter of our lives with us.
